Residential Drafting Services Sydney: Why might you need Site Survey!
Unless you are doing something very very minor, most CDC or DA applications requires a detailed leveled site survey, it is one of the critical documents that the assessor will need to check your design is compliant. Just like a plan or an elevational drawing, a site survey is equally important.
The designer told me I need a survey? What is it?
A Land survey is a drawing that is done by a Land surveryor whom does the measurement and mapping of the proposal land, in regards to contours, floor level, heights, surrounding environment using mathematics, specialised technology and equipment. Surveyors measure just about anything on the land specified.
Why is a site survey important?
Designers and approval authorities depend on land survey to ensure what designer proposed is accurate according to the existing nature of the land.
Surveyors are the first people on any construction site, measuring and mapping the land. These primary measurements are then used by residential drafting designers to understand and make the most of the unique landscape when designing and engineers to plan structures accurately and safely, ensuring buildings not only fit with the landscape but are able to be constructed.
How Does a detailed site survey look?
A survey should be detailed as shown below. Sometimes lower quality surveys does not show enough information on the drawings which falls into the loophole of having to redo a new one, if requested by council.
