Residential drafting design in Sydney tells you: The Sutherland Shire has a new LEP
If you are living within the Sutherland Shire area, here's a good news! This week, Sutherland Shire Council launched it’s new Local Environment Plan (LEP), superseding the 2006 LEP.
What does the new LEP do?
By launching this new LEP, it introduces new zones and development standards such as height, density and landscaped areas. This change is a positive change to most residents within the Shire area as it means that large development can be done - whether you are planning to build a new house, dual occupancies or building an extensions, there are more potential space to play with and developed. The changes to zoning have been long awaited by developers and home owners in the area.
Although the Draft DCP 2014 has not been officially launched yet, though, sources told us that all applications made under the new LEP will also be assessed using the draft DCP until it is formally adopted, which again means increase use of land spaces.
The LEP should bring with it many benefits contributing to a flowing economy, leading to greater employment, including apprenticeships, as well as deal with the housing shortage across the Sutherland Shire.
So what should I do now if I'm planning to do a residential drafting and design development?
Talk to us at Go Design Solutions, it is always good to start preparing for the drafting service in the Shire area, and start queuing up for your applications as sources told us that a lot of developers have already go their plans ready to go!
